From Liquid form to semi-solid form using our Environmental Licences/Permits to transport the material to licenced agricultural grounds around Tasmania.

Giraffe Civil Contracting was awarded the tender to stop the ocean eroding the picnic area bank at the Old Pier Beach at Bridport. Looking at a few options to control this with retaining walls, rocks etc.
We decided to install Geotextile Sand Bags supplied by GeoTas which are specifically designed and manufactured nonwoven, needle punched, staple fibre geotextile. Enhanced filtration combined with resistance to puncture, abrasion and UV make these ideal for use in coastal applications providing maximum durability in harsh conditions. These can be filled with sand, soil, gravel or a combination of all three materials.

Our Doosan DX225 excavator was busy forming up roads, constructing log truck turning holes and passing bays as well as construction of a timber retaining walls to control bank erosion and potential landslip hazards.
Giraffe Civil Contracting were awarded the tender for the construction of TasWater’s Access Track to the bottom of the Isandula Dam, Ulverstone TAS
The access track was to meet all Forestry Tasmania’s codes of practice, making what was in some places a 60% gradient hill-side into a desired gradient of 15-20% by cutting and benching our way to the bottom.
Giraffe Civil Contracting were involved in the Northern Tasmania’s Small Towns Water Upgrade Program.
Mathinna upgrades started in January 2018 and was completed by March 2018, Giraffe Civil were contracted under Water Industries Solutions to dig and lay the new water services in and through the township, covering a distance of approx. 2km’s.
